On January 8, 2011 Sunapee Fire Department, along several other area agencies were called on secnd and third alarms to a structure fire at the Hopewell Farm in Newbury. The barn was fully involved and an attached and nearby structures were threatened. Sunapee responded with Engine 2, Ladder 5 and Tanker 4 as well as a large showing of manpower.
The Engine and Ladder were held in reserve while the Tanker took part in the shuttle.
