On Sunday January 4, 2015 at about midnight fire was reported at Jakes Market on Rt. 11 in the Georges Mills Village of Sunapee. Members were just clearing an EMS call and were on the scene in minutes. Mutual aide was recieved from several area departments, but due to the age and construction of the building the fire consumed the building.
Several police officers were credited for saving a neighbor who was in a house showing smoke conditions from the heat of the fire.
