Mutual Aide to Washington - ATV Crash

On August 27, 2013 Sunapee Fire was requested for a Mutual Aid Response to Washington with the Maxx and ATR trailer. A 53 year old male had rolled his 500 cc 4 wheeler over more that 650 meters down a trail and sustained a displaced, angulated hip dislocation. Chief Ruggles and FF Corey Oxland responded and assisted in transporting the patient to the DHART helicopter crew. The total time for the operation was more than 3 1/2 hours.

Thanks to the Brother Anthony of the Benedict Center for allowing us to land the helicopter in the soccer field and providing these pictures.  He also provided a short video of the event.

All pictures posted with permission of the patient.
