Sunapee Water Department requesting residents help with shoveling out hydrants near their homes and buisnesses

Clearing snow around hydrants near your home or buisiness can help save lives and property in the event of a fire.

The Water Department is working to make sure that there is clear access to hydrants but there is a lot of snow burying the 95 hydrants in Sunapee and Georges Mills and we could use any help from residents that is available to ensure that the Fire Department does not loose precious time locating and shoveling around a hydrant in the event of a fire.

Many thanks to the residents that have taken it upon themselves to clean out around the hydrants near their homes it is greatly appreciated!
