Voter Registration and Elections

You may register to vote at the Town Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The Supervisors of the Checklist hold sessions prior to an election and their hours are posted in the local papers. You may also register at the polls on the day of any election. You will be required to show proof of age, domicile and citizenship. A driver’s license, passport or birth certificates are normally acceptable proof.

The Town of Sunapee operates under the Official Ballot Law also known as SB2. A deliberative session is held in early February and all articles are voted on Town Meeting Day, which is held on the second Tuesday in March. State and Federal elections are held as required by law.
