In accordance with RSA 466:1, it is required that New Hampshire Veterinarians notify the town clerk where the owner resides within 40 days of the rabies vaccination. All dogs 4 months or older are required to be licensed prior to April 30th of each year. Dogs not licensed prior to June 1st will be subject to a $25.00 fine. A valid rabies certificate and altering status must also be shown. The following fees are applicable:
- Male or Female: $9.00
- Altered Male or Female: $6.50
- Puppy (7 months or younger): $6.50
Any dogs owned or kept in the Town of Sunapee shall at all times when within the limits of said Town and not upon or within the premises or property of its owner or keeper must be restrained from running at large.
