Voting Absentee Due to Storm

Attention Sunapee Voters:

Town Election Day is tomorrow.  The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning effective 8 pm this evening (3/13/23) to 8 am Wednesday morning (3/15/23).  Due to this weather event, if the following applies to you, you can obtain your absentee ballot today (3/13/23) from 8 am until 5 pm:

"For use only on the Monday immediately prior to the election: I cannot appear at my polling place on election day because the National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning, blizzard warning, or ice storm warning for election day applicable to my city, town, or unincorporated place and either (check one):

  • I am elderly or infirm or I have a physical disability, and would otherwise vote in person but I have concerns for my safety traveling in the storm.
  • I anticipate that school, child care, or adult care will be canceled, and would otherwise vote in person but will need to care for children or infirm adults."

No absentee ballots may be accepted after 5 pm tomorrow (3/14/23).  Please either drop your completed ballot off at the Town Clerk's Office by 5 pm today, otherwise your ballot needs to be mailed to PO Box 303 in Sunapee by 5 pm tomorrow or hand delivered by a delivery agent at the polls by 5 pm tomorrow.

Respectfully,

Joshua P. Boone
