Upcoming Town Clerk/Tax Collector's Office Closure
The Town Clerk & Tax Collector's Office will be closed October 11th-13th, 2023 to allow staff to attend annual training, where we will hear from our State partners at the DMV, Secretary of State's Office, and Vital Records . Due to this multi-day closure, the office will be open on Columbus Day, October 9th.
As a reminder, vital records/marriage licenses can be obtained from any town or city clerk in New Hampshire. Boat registrations can be processed at the DMV in Newport or at any authorized boat agent location, such as the Newport Town Clerk's Office. We will reopen on October 16th at 8 a.m. and will be able to assist with any vehicle/trailer registrations. If you purchased a vehicle private sale and need to register it during the time we are closed, you may obtain a 20-day temporary registration from the DMV in Newport.
