Town Clerk & Tax Collector's Office Closure

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Town Clerk and Tax Collector's Office will be closed on Thursday, September 21st, 2023.  The office will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, September 22nd, 2023.  Thank you for your patience with this late notice office closure.

As a reminder, vital records/marriage licenses can be obtained from any town or city clerk in New Hampshire.  Boat registrations can be processed at the DMV in Newport or at any authorized boat agent location, such as the Newport Town Clerk's Office.  We will reopen on September 22nd at 8 a.m. and will be able to assist with any vehicle/trailer registrations.  If you purchased a vehicle private sale and need to register it during the time we are closed, you may obtain a 20-day temporary registration from the DMV in Newport.  Here is a link to the DMV website explaining what you will need to bring to the DMV to obtain a 20-day temporary registration: https://www.dmv.nh.gov/vehicles-boats-or-titles/temporary-plates.
