REMINDER: Walk in the Woods with Sunapee Conservation Committee 10/2

The Sunapee Conservation Commission invites you to a walk in the woods to Ledge Pond, and to trails developed around the pond, resulting from a Commission directed forest harvest.

The trail is a circuit north and south of the existing snowmobile trail leading to the pond. The trail is a moderate effort of about 1 3/4 miles, with some elevation gain. Part of the circuit was developed by a Sunapee Scout for his Eagle project, and is well thought out, and a very nice hike. The entrance to the Ledge Pond parking area is reached by taking a left before the Irving station in George’s Mills, onto Springfield Rd., and an immediate right onto Prospect Hill Rd. to Meadow Brook Rd. on the left. Please park on one side of the street.

Please come prepared with sturdy shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. The hike is a rain or shine event on October 2nd, starting at 1:00 PM.

There will also be shorter hike available to those that might not be comfortable with the longer hike. This will still go to the pond. It is about a mile long.
