Recreation news -Fireworks & Dewey Beach

Due to COVID-19, Sunapee Recreation Dept is postponing the July 4th Fireworks display to Labor Day weekend. 

Hopefully things will be back to normal by then.....

Dewey Beach 

Lifeguard hours – Effective Saturday, June 6th Dewey Beach will be staffed Monday-Saturday 10-5pm and Sunday 11-5pm

  (weather dependent & subject to change)

Safety Procedures regarding Covid-19

The Following will be in effect until further notice

  Bathroom/changing room (single use only)

 Playground, floating docks, boats, etc. will not be available

Social Distancing must be practiced at all times (min of 6 ft.)

**Beach use is limited to Sunapee residents only**

A Beach parking Sticker is required 

*Dewey Beach capacity is a maximum of 105 persons

**Actual numbers of people will depend on ability to social distance**

Beach users must check in with attendant at single entrance/exit. When capacity is reached new arrivals will have to wait for available space before entering.

The following beach activities are permitted: Walking/running; swimming; sitting, playing, and sunbathing as long as social distancing is maintained. Group activities will not be allowed.

If a beach user does not follow the guidelines they will be asked to leave. Further action may be taken for non-compliance.
