PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR THE IMPENDING STORM

A severe storm is forecast to impact the Lake Sunapee region early Friday morning and will continue through Saturday afternoon.  The storm will likely begin as snow, and driving conditions may be poor.  The storm will change to rain early Friday morning with periods of downpours and high winds (up to 55mph gusts) through early Saturday morning.  1" - 3" of rain is possible, and with snow melt, flooding of local streams and rivers is expected.  The storm will end with snow and with frigid wind chills that will be below zero!!  

This is forecast to be a HIGH IMPACT weather event, and we ask that you please be prepared for slippery road conditions, unexpected road closures, and widespread power outages.  Please do not travel during the storm unless it is absolutely necessary.  The Highway Crew is prepared to respond to issues that may occur on the Town's roadways as necessary.  The Sunapee Police and Fire Departments are on
