Impending Heat Forecast

Information related to the impending heat forecasted to impact the state Friday, Saturday and Sunday, temperatures are expected to be 100 degrees plus.   Everyone should take caution with outdoor activities and to stay hydrated and shaded as much as possible.   

All Sunapee Town Employees who will be working over the next couple of days which include Police, Fire and Recreation staff have been instructed to look out for any citizen who may exhibit signs of dehydration or heat exhaustion.  Water will be available for those in need at the beach and with the Sunapee Harbor Officer. 

The Sunapee Safety Services Building located on 9 Sargent Road will be open as a cooling station from 8am-8pm for the next several days.  Everyone should check on friends, family and neighbors to insure their health and wellbeing during these high temperatures.    If you need emergency services please call 911, for all other non- emergency related issues, contact the Sunapee Police Department business number,  763-5555.
