When you join the Sunapee Fire & EMS Department you wil be provided all the training and equipment needed to learn how to be a safe and effective firefighter. Our By-Laws require that anyone applying for the EMS Company must be NH or Nationally licensed Emergency Medical Responder, or EMT, AEMT or Paramedic. If you are in a certification class and nearing completion of an EMT course you may apply also.

2. Contact your local police department to have a set of fingerprints taken.
Bring the entire packet to the Sunapee Town Clerk's Office to be processed.
Do you have a desire to help your communuity as part of the team of professional first responders, but do not have time for the extensive training or want to participate in the riskier or dangerous tasks we undertake? The Sunapee Fire & EMS Department is accepting applications for Non-Responder Volunteers. These volunteers will help support the Firefighters, EMTs and Police Officers during emergencies by making or picking up and delivering refreshments, assisting with record keeping and supporting other adminstrative duties.
